Radiology

In the Radiology Department of our hospital, radiological examinations deemed necessary further the by modern physicians’ evaluations, are performed with various devices and technologies. The most modern technologies that care about patient health are used in our hospital. In our department, radiological procedures are performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, some for urgent needs.

Radiology is one of the most comprehensive branches of medicine that uses sound, radio waves and X-rays and imaging technologies in the diagnosis process of diseases and includes interventional procedures accompanied by imaging techniques in the treatment process. Supporting all other branches with its studies, radiology is a vital component of many medical decisions that affect patients. Radiology consists of two main parts:

1. Diagnostic Radiology

Diagnostic radiology is a sub-unit that used to detect the symptoms of the disease or to control the response of the drugs to treatment. The diagnostic radiology tests used in our hospital are as follows:

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) 1.5 Tesla
• Zen Technology Computed Tomography (CT) (32 slices)
• Mammography with Tomosynthesis
• Mammography
• Detailed Pregnant Ultrasound
• Ultrasound
• Color Doppler Ultrasonography
• X-ray
• Bone Densitometry (Bone Density Measurement)

2. Interventional Radiology

• Breast and Thyroid Biopsy
• Lung, Liver and Lymph Node Biopsies
• CT Angiography, MR Angiography
• Diagnostic, Neurovascular, Peripheral, Angiographic Procedures

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI); It is a medical imaging technique that provides detailed examination of tissues, organs and skeletal system. It is an examination commonly used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the brain, spine, joints, abdomen and breast regions. Its main advantage over other imaging techniques is that it does not use ionizing radiation. GE Signa Explorer 1.5 Tesla system in our hospital; With its high resolution and fast imaging feature, provides our doctors with the opportunity to perform fast, comprehensive and complete examinations. The MRI device is used in the following images.

• Spinal Cord and Spine (Cervical / Thoracic / Lumbar MR)
• Lower /Upper Abdominal MRI

Computerized Tomography (32 slices with Zen Technology): It is a diagnosis method in which diagnostic images are obtained by using the x-rays in whole body imaging.

In our device which has Zen technology, a fast, high- quality and efficient imaging is provided where the patient is exposed to least x-rays and the min x-ray is also used.
