EECP Therapy  (Natural Bypass):

This treatment is administrated through three pairs of external inflatable cuffs that are applied around the lower legs, upper legs and buttocks; in accordance with cardiac rhythm.

EECP treatment is a result of 50 years’ research and development. EECP treatment is launched as a new technic because this method has just started to used clinically in 1995. The counter pulsation theory is based on 1953. The first clinical reflection is Intra aortic Balloon Pump (IABP). In order to make usable the EECP technology, the scientists are worked more than 50 years. In 1995 by taking the FDA approval and started to use for Coronary Artery Diseases and Heart Failure Treatment EECP, is a non-chirurgical, non-interventional and non-invasive and painless method. On the other hand, the medical device has CE, ISO and all other certificates.

EECP using for Coronary Artery Diseases and Heart Failure Treatment, is a new treatment for Turkey but it’s being used more than 250 centers in USA. The scientific studies made on heart attack, heart failure and sudden dead appearing during the course of coronary heart diseases; showed that EECP method is useful. It is an effective method having valuable results. EECP treatment provides a natural and non-chirurgical bypass by helping vasodilation of coronary arteries related with the heart disease.

As a result, the complaints of chest pain, respiratory disorders, palpitation and prostration related with the coronary artery narrowing or blockage at heart feeding arteries, coronary artery disease or heart blooding deficiency decreases, heart attack risk decreases and the quality of health increases. Patient is treated as out-patient. After the treatment the patient appliance to doctor or emergency service decreases. EECP treatment schedule includes 35 days (7 weeks), applied as 5 or 6 days per week. During the treatment period patients are free to listen music or read somethings. The patients can return to their daily life and work. Further to the international studies, 88% of patients having an EECP treatment can feel the positive and useful effects during 5years period.

EECP treatment is certified by FDA in order to be used in:

• Heart failure
• Stable Angina Pectoris
• Unstable Angina Pectoris
• Cardiogenic Shock
• Acute Myocardial Infarction treatments.

EECP treatment is also used effectively for paralyzed patients caused by embolization, diabetic patients, hypertensive patients. It is also used as anti-ageing in order to prevent aging and erectile dysfunctions and for ischemic cases caused by insufficient blood stream or infarction.

This treatment is being used in many universities and clinics like Pittsburg University, Yale University, Harvard University, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Kyoto University, Milano University etc.

In 2002 after the heart failure treatment is also added to the using areas; this treatment become an essential treatment technic for cardiology. This treatment can be used for:

• Patients who had balloon stent or coronary artery bypass (CABG) but his complaint is still continuing and can cause heart failure.
• Patient who had angiography but non-operable by balloon, stent or by-pass because of the artery structure.
• Patient can’t be operable because of pulmonary, kidney, brain diseases.
• Patients who are not voluntary to be operated as by-pass, balloon or stent.
• Heart failure patients
• Patients had paralysis because of embolism in brain
